Fundraising terms

• Anyone aged 18 or older can start a fundraiser for Artsen zonder Grenzen. Are you under 18? Then ask your parent or legal representative to create and manage your fundraising page.

• As a participant, you are an ambassador for Artsen zonder Grenzen. You represent the work and values of Artsen zonder Grenzen. Please keep this in mind when carrying out and promoting your fundraiser. Artsen zonder Grenzen reserves the right to refuse, temporarily take a fundraiser offline or remove it, if it does not align with the organization’s values, objectives or reputation.

• Be transparent in the description of your fundraising activities, about any costs incurred and the amount that will be donated. Clearly explain how Artsen zonder Grenzen is being supported. For example, if you are selling products to raise money, state what amount per product sold will go to Artsen zonder Grenzen.

• Donations received will not be refunded. Exceptions may be made in case of fraud, demonstrable error or duplicate payments. Once a donation appears on your fundraising page, it directly benefits the objectives of Artsen zonder Grenzen.

• We provide materials to help you promote your fundraising page, including a special ‘in Actie’ logo. We ask you to use this logo when communicating about your fundraising activities.

• Always ask permission before using photos, videos or texts created by others in order to avoid copyright infringement. If you upload material to a fundraising page, you are responsible for complying with copyrights and other third-party rights. You indemnify Artsen zonder Grenzen against third-party claims in this regard. If this results in costs or damage for Artsen zonder Grenzen, these may be recovered from you. Artsen zonder Grenzen may also remove material from a fundraising page.

• By posting content on the platform, you give Artsen zonder Grenzen permission to use this content free of charge for communication and promotional purposes, such as on the website, social media and in newsletters, including after the fundraiser has ended. You confirm that you have permission from the persons involved and/or rights holders to post and use this content. Requests to stop future use can be sent to kominactie@artsenzondergrenzen.nl. Artsen zonder Grenzen cannot guarantee that already published material will be removed.

• You are responsible for organizing your own fundraising activity. Artsen zonder Grenzen is not liable for any damage, costs or claims arising from your fundraising activities.

Terms of Use

Information and liability

Artsen zonder Grenzen is not liable for any damage resulting from the use of, or inability to use, the website, including damage resulting from the inaccuracy or incompleteness of the information, unless the damage is the result of intent or gross negligence on the part of Artsen zonder Grenzen.

As a user of the website and the information available on it, you also indemnify Artsen zonder Grenzen against any form of damage suffered by third parties related to any action taken by you as a user as a result, or alleged result, of that use.

 Artsen zonder Grenzen is also not liable for damage resulting from the use of electronic means of communication with this website, including, but not limited to, damage resulting from non-delivery or delayed delivery of electronic messages, interception or manipulation of electronic messages by third parties or by software and/or equipment used for electronic communication, and the transmission of viruses.

Intellectual property and rights

Artsen zonder Grenzen strives to respect the rights in texts, photos, illustrations, maps, other graphic materials, trade names, trademarks, logo and databases. Copyrights, trademark rights and/or any other intellectual property rights in protected material or rights belong to the respective rights holders.

Unless stated otherwise, all rights, including copyrights and other intellectual property rights, to the website and the information belong to Artsen zonder Grenzen. Users may make copies of the information and images for their own use, for example by printing or saving them. The source must always be acknowledged.

Sharing links to fundraising pages and other pages of this website for the purpose of fundraising for Artsen zonder Grenzen is permitted. Reproducing, editing, or using parts of the website, content or brand expressions for other purposes is only permitted with the prior written consent of Artsen zonder Grenzen.

Transaction fees

The payment provider Stripe handles the processing of transactions via this website. Artsen zonder Grenzen and Funraisin.co are not liable for the services provided by Stripe. Stripe and Funraisin.co charge fees per transaction. These are covered by Artsen zonder Grenzen. The exact transaction fees depend on the amount donated and the payment method. When making a donation, the donor may contribute to the transaction fees.

Privacy and cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies on our website. Necessary cookies ensure that the website works properly. We also use analytical cookies to understand how visitors use the website and to improve it, where possible using anonymised data. For non-necessary cookies, such as cookies for personalisation, social media, advertising or extended analytics, we ask for your consent in advance. You can set or change your preferences.

Removal of content

Artsen zonder Grenzen reserves the right to remove, block or take offline content, fundraising pages or accounts without prior warning if they are in breach of the law, these terms and conditions or third-party rights, or if they are harmful, misleading, offensive or inappropriate according to Artsen zonder Grenzen. Artsen zonder Grenzen is not liable to pay compensation in doing so.

Invalidity

If these terms of use are or become partially invalid, the user and Artsen zonder Grenzen will remain bound by the remaining provisions.  

Miscellaneous

Artsen zonder Grenzen may amend these terms and conditions. The current version is available on this page. In the event of changes, we will inform active users with fundraising-pages on this site.

Applicable law 

These terms of use are governed by Dutch law. Any disputes concerning the application of these terms and conditions will, as far as possible, be resolved in mutual consultation. If the dispute cannot be resolved in mutual consultation, it will be submitted for settlement to the competent court in Amsterdam.
